I can relate to my drawing in the fact that living with CF can sometimes be easy like a spring breeze but other times it is like a fire exploded and you’re trapped in the center with no way out. I do a lot of drawings but this is my first that has to do with my CF. I chose to draw my picture this way for the fact that it is to show how I feel about living with CF.
Living with CF has definitely been a major challenge. There have been many road- blocks for me along the way. I feel as though I have missed out on the everyday things that a healthy 17 year old does. A little over a year ago I was told that I needed to look into getting a double lung transplant, but I do know that I am going to live to be old and healthy as possible as long as my mom is there to back me up. I am determined to beat CF and I know that I can! The knowledge I would like for visitors to gain upon seeing my drawing is that CF is very difficult to live with but it is possible to beat it if you take it one day at a time!
