Breathing Room
facilitates candid and open communication between adults with Cystic Fibrosis, supports the development of a community of adults with CF and provides education and insight for families, caregivers, and medical professionals who impact our lives.

Bereavement
Slow, but willing,
there opened a spot
of vulnerability in my heart.
And the bud of friendship broke ground.

Once cut preseason,
leaving this wound
and no possibility of re-growth,
the blossom of my earlier joy at knowing you
becomes a salve to help mend
the gash of deprivation.

But a scar will be left,
where the warm feeling of kindredness grew.
And until that mending day,
I am bereft.
