No Place To Hide
It comes upon me unexpected
A vapor creeping undetected
Raw emotion from deep inside
No place to run, no place to hide
Anger, red hot, hatred, too
Of things I've probably misconstrued
Out of context, words unspoken
Feel like bones all twisted, broken
Angry words fly hitting those
Whose love I need to interpose
And dig me out of this dark pit
And yet I keep on, knowing it
And hurt the ones I need the most
Oh how my demons must beam and boast
Somehow peace must soon return
To salve my woundings, hurts and burns
But til then I'll lash out and scream
At those on whom I need to lean
And make more wounds that need to heal
In others 'round me who will feel
That THEY'VE been broken, twisted too
By one who loves them, dearly, true
How hard this life becomes when I
Just need a place to run and hide.
