Breathing Room
facilitates candid and open
communication between adults with Cystic Fibrosis,
supports the development of a community of adults with CF
and provides education and insight for families, caregivers,
and medical professionals who impact our lives.

Through the Looking Glass Contributor Kathy Schaal compares her hand to those in the exhibition's anchor image, "Hands".

Attendees included adults with CF, both pre- and post- transplant, parents of individuals with CF, friends and family of members of the Breathing Room, health care providers, and members of the local CF community. Some attendees came from as far away as Portland, Oregon to attend. The exhibit allowed attendees to reflect on each image as they walked through the rows of easels artistically laid out to provide a moving image of adults with cystic fibrosis and how the disease affects their lives.
