Breathing Room facilitates candid and open
communication between adults with Cystic Fibrosis,
supports the development of a community of adults with CF
and provides education and insight for families, caregivers,
and medical professionals who impact our lives.

How you can participate in The Breathing Room
- Do you write poetry? If you are an adult, 16 years and above, with CF, and/or a part of the CF community, we welcome your poetry submissions. We are looking for poems dealing with emotional issues such as living with chronic illness, dealing with others with chronic illness, pain, grief, gratitude, etc. submit your poem(s) to poetry@thebreathingroom.org.
- Send us your personal stories. The Breathing Room publishes short personal stories (250-500 words in length) about issues facing the lives of people dealing with Cystic Fibrosis. We are looking for stories dealing with isolation, grief, life challenges, family, relationships, career and school choices, insurance, etc. Please submit your stories to our editors at: stories@thebreathingroom.org.
- Would you like to be part of Through the Looking Glass: Images of Adults with Cystic Fibrosis? This very special mixed media photo project is open to adults with Cystic Fibrosis, 16 years or over. Please email our editor at:lookingglass@thebreathingroom.org to speak with us about participating in this project.
- Is there a project you think the Breathing Room should cover, but is not? We would love to hear your ideas. Send them to ideas@thebreathingroom.org- we want to hear from you!
