John Bartelt
Born and raised overseas, Dr. John Bartelt considers himself a globalist. He holds degrees in Philosophy, Criminal Justice, Counseling Psychology, and Human Behavior, and has taught and counseled in Elementary, Junior High School, High School, College, and University levels.  For years, he worked with developmentally challenged adults, and volunteered as a grief counselor and support group facilitator for children and adults with cystic fibrosis, for which he has received several awards and been a featured speaker at CF medical conferences around the world.

John is also an artist.  He has produced and directed videos, composed orchestral scores for educational and adventure computer games, stage plays, ballets, and documentary videos, and performed and recorded with artists such as Jon Anderson (of the rock group "Yes"), and Mary MacGregor.  As an actor, director, and/or sound designer of over two hundred theatrical productions, John’s many professional acting credits include the title role in “King Lear”, and years of performing Shakespeare in schools and Renaissance Faires.

John is currently a full-time professor in the Teacher Education department at the University of La Verne in Southern California.
