Anthony Diprofio
Cystic Fibrosis nearly took Anthony's life two years ago at the age of 31. "Most of
life has been fairly normal," he says. "I was very active in sports and social
activities. Raised a family and was gainfully employed. Although I have
had my share of illnesses associated with Cystic Fibrosis, I still managed
to live a happy life."
End stage CF came on very abruptly within the
course of a year. Without a moments notice he was stuck on oxygen 24 hours a
day. He remembers, "Life as I once knew it ended in a flash. All my hopes and dreams
were shattered and death was thought to be my only relief from the daily
miseries. I was listed for a double lung transplant in November 2000. At
this point in my life it was predicted by most that I would surely not
survive the average 1 to 3 year wait. On December 15th, 2000, one month after
being listed, I was blessed with the greatest Christmas gift of all. A new set
of healthy lungs. I'm truly a miracle. My life is so wonderful now. I'm
breathing free, stronger and more active than ever. I love and appreciate
life like never before. Thank you lord."
With every waking moment...
Brings a bright and Beautiful day.
Live your life to the fullest...
Happiness and love will forever come your way.
